WHAT IS A POCKET LISTING?

A pocket listing is a real estate listing that is not publicly advertised or listed on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), but is instead kept “in the pocket” of the listing agent or broker.

Pocket listings can be beneficial for both buyers and sellers in certain situations. For example, a pocket listing can allow a seller to keep the sale of their property private, or it can give buyers exclusive access to a property that has not yet been made available to the general public.
